At SleepyNest, we want your bed setup to be as smooth and stress-free as possible. Follow these step-by-step instructions to assemble your new bed with ease.

1. Assembling Your Ottoman Storage Bedabout your brand

Putting together your ottoman storage bed is simple. Here’s how:

Step 1: Attach the Chrome Legs

Insert the chrome legs into each base and secure them with a firm tap.
Note: Once locked, these legs cannot be removed.

Step 2: Connect the Headboard

Align the headboard cutouts with the holes on the ottoman base. Pierce the fabric if needed, then screw in the bolts with white washers (2 bolts per side).

Step 3: Secure the Bases

Push the U-clips into place to lock the bases together. Use the plastic-headed bolt to join the lids.
Tip: The lids won’t close without a mattress on top. If your bed has a footboard, slide it into place after securing the lids.

2. Gas Lift Bed Frame Assembly

For a gas lift bed frame, we recommend having two people for easier assembly.

  • Step 1: Assemble the Frame

    Attach the headboard, side rails, and footboard. Slot the side rails into place and tighten the bolts using a size 13-14 spanner. Place the long black support bar inside the storage base.

  • Step 2: Prepare the Metal Slatted Frame

    Attach the small black bars to the frame using Allen key bolts. Fix the U-bar to one side of the frame.

  • Step 3: Install the Gas Lift Pistons

    Gently twist the pistons if they don’t align initially, then secure them in place.

  • Step 4: Secure the Slatted Frame

    Place the metal slatted frame on the bed frame (U-bar indicates the head side). Secure it with 3 bolts per side.
    Note: The gas lift won’t function until a mattress is placed on top.

3. Bed Frame with Headboard Assembly

This process takes about 15 minutes.

  • Step 1: Remove Bolts

    Take out all 8 bolts from the headboard and footboard.

  • Step 2: Attach Side Rails

    Connect side rails (marked A and B) to the headboard and tighten the bolts slightly.

  • Step 3: Connect Footboard

    Attach side rails (marked C and D) to the footboard and tighten the bolts slightly.

  • Step 4: Add Support Bar(s)

    Place the support bar(s) (marked E) in position and tighten all bolts securely.

Step 5: Position the Headboard

If your bed has a headboard, place it on top, leaving a gap at the head and foot for easy access.

4. Divan Base Bed Assembly

Setting up a divan base is quick and easy.

  • Step 1: Release the Drawers

    Cut the fabric drawer straps to release the drawers. Trim any excess strap to avoid obstruction.

  • Step 2: Attach the Chrome Legs

    Tap the chrome legs into the base to lock them in place.
    Note: Once locked, the legs cannot be removed.

  • Step 3: Secure the Bases

    Align the two divan bases and clamp them together using U-clips on the timber underside.

  • Step 4: Attach the Headboard

    Screw in the bolts with white washers (2 bolts per side) to secure the headboard.

Mattress Setup

For Regular Mattresses:

  • Carefully remove the airtight plastic wrap using scissors or a knife. Avoid damaging the mattress fabric.
  • Inspect for any damages upon delivery and report them immediately.

For Roll-Packed Mattresses:

  • Unwrap the mattress and allow up to 24 hours for it to fully expand. It will regain 70-80% of its shape within a few hours.
